Final Fantasy VIII: Chronicles; Script assembled by LightSoul- I remember back in the spring of 1999 when news of Final Fantasy VIII was just starting to come through. Before that, there was little 'real news' on the game. Sure, we knew who Squall was. Every guy was transfixed by Rinoa's beauty. And nobody had an idea as to what Zell's tattoo was about. Those were the days we thought Laguna was a cross-dresser, certain that Edea was evil, and Seifer was the coolest villain since Sephiroth. Selphie, Irvine, and Quistis were unknown characters and had about ten thousand rumors about who they were. Kiros and Ward were out of the picture. Finally, the one thing that had everyone excited was the 'Ballroom Dance' FMV. It's probably the most famous FMV in the world of video games. (Besides FF8's intro, ending and FF7's Aeris's death and ending.) It was one of those FMV's that you could watch forever and never grow tired of.
This book is created for your reading pleasure. It got its origins from all of the FF8 'short stories' which captured certain parts of the game. This book is the complete story of Final Fantasy VIII. There are several small differences between the book and the game. (The game is semi-linear, while the book is completely linear) Also some parts of the game, such as the numerous battles and card games are not included in the book. (Otherwise it would be three times larger than it already is.)
